The German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) hosted a two-day training on High Efficiency Conversion of Biomass to Power, Heat, & Chill at the GPCCI Office last June 26-27, 2024.
The trainer, Prof. Dr. -Ing Horst Kreimes, is a specialist on energy and environmental impact who teaches at the University of Rosenheim, a consultant to well-known European companies, and a keynote speaker for global technology congresses.
This highly technical training covered various topics related to biomass conversion, i.e., energy conversion methods for biomass, the integration of biogas plants into energy concepts, environmental impacts and reduction possibilities, and from biomass to useful energies.
It aimed to equip the participants with the knowledge and information needed to achieve high efficiency in converting biomass into power, heat, and chill while considering sustainability and optimal energy utilization. Furthermore, it delved into the potential and advantages of biomass conversion technologies and its possible challenges.
GPCCI remains committed in supporting trainings that offers further sustainable solutions which are efficient and effective for the development of renewable energy, economic opportunities and technological innovations in the Philippines.
