Goji Kitchen + Bar, the award-winning international culinary marketplace at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, is inviting its cherished hotel guests, local residents, and international visitors to come together and celebrate the magic of Songkran this April, with a series of enchanting Thai New Year dining experiences.
Interactive live stations will highlight regional delights from the four corners of Thailand, including Tee Yentafo Rot Det (a famous pink noodle soup with condiments), Moo Yang Muang Trang Konuch (Trang-style grilled suckling pig), Naihua Plus Roti Chachuk (handmade rotis from a street food-style stall), and Bau Loy Khai Wan Klongsan (mixed sweet dumplings with egg).
An Asian Live Station will showcase an extended selection of Thai and Chinese dishes, such as homemade dim sum, fish maw soup, tom yum talay (spicy & sour seafood soup), Thai seafood salad, and Thai-style grilled squid, pork and beef brisket. A special Mala Seafood Grill will also feature sizzling seafood, cooked to perfection with tingling Sichuan-style mala spices, and a dedicated Japanese Station will present handcrafted sushi & sashimi, including salmon, tuna, hamachi, hotate, and unagi.
Lovers of fresh seafood can head to the Oyster Bar, where chefs will be shucking five kinds of oyster accompanied with traditional condiments, and a Seafood on Ice Station will offer king crab, blue crab, scallops, black mussels, Babylonia snails, banana prawns, and tiger prawns, as well as smoked salmon gravlax.
These delicacies will be accompanied with salads, imported cheeses and cold cuts, including hand-cut Iberico ham, and a special Mediterranean Corner will present authentic Spanish cuisine. And of course, every meal can end on a sweet note with a wide variety of Thai and international desserts, such as cakes, mousses, pastries, homemade ice creams & sorbets, and mango sticky rice.
Throughout Songkran festival, chefs will also celebrate the spirit of Songkran with a dedicated Khao Chae station that showcases Thailand’s traditional summertime dish: chilled rice in jasmine-infused water accompanied by classic condiments, including stuffed young peppers, watermelon with sweet dried fish & crispy shallots, sweet shredded pork.
