New flights have been launched from Jeddah to Munich by Lufthansa German Airlines.

The new service connects Jeddah three times a week to Germany, to Europe and the world.

The flight complements the daily service from Jeddah to Frankfurt.

The carrier recently celebrated the launch of its three weekly service connecting Jeddah to Munich and onward.

After a flight time of 7:50 hours, Lufthansa flight LH608 touched down at Jeddah-King Abdulaziz’s International Airport with arriving passengers personally greeted by Stefan Loecherbach, director, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen of Lufthansa German Airlines and British Midland International.

Loecherbach said: “The growing importance of Jeddah as an urban center leads to growing demand for direct airlinks from western Saudi Arabia to central Europe. We are happy to provide these with our additional service to our Munich.”

Loecherbach added: “Together with our daily flight to Frankfurt, the new Munich service connects Jeddah to some 200 destinations in 81 countries.”

Jeddah will benefit from the new service, which provides local businesses and private travelers alike with convenient options and optimal connections to 100 destinations in Europe and 21 in North America.

Lufthansa operates its new Munich service with an Airbus A340- 300 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, offering a 3-class configuration with 8 first class, 48 business class and 165 economy class seats.

The direct flight makes a short intermediate stop in the Saudi capital before resuming its flight to Munich.

In Munich, exclusive lounge facilities await passengers in transit. Lufthansa follows a 3-tier lounge concept, offering premium customers First class/HON Circle lounges, Senator lounges and Business class lounges.
