Shaping Future Leaders in Artificial Intelligence through Education and Innovation

03.07.2024

As technological advancements continue to accelerate, the need for
professionals in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly
crucial. The global context of AI is redefining IT industry standards and raising
public debate on topics such as AI’s role in business growth and
development, data analysis, machine learning, as well as ethics and data
privacy.
In response to this demand, the Faculty of Managerial Informatics at the
Romanian-American University, in collaboration with Optimizd.AI, is launching
a series of courses structured into various modules focused on key areas
within Artificial Intelligence. These courses aim to cultivate future industry
professionals by combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills in a
50/50 structure. The practical aspect of these courses will be supported by
industry specialists, allowing participants to apply their acquired knowledge in
real-time to optimize their businesses or improve their job performance. “In an era where data is the new currency, these courses are essential for
anyone wanting to lead in innovation and technological development. The
launch of these course modules marks our commitment to providing top-tier
education and training experts who will redefine the future of technology and
business. By successfully completing these new modules, we offer our
students the knowledge and skills needed to become leaders in today’s top
professional fields—Data Analysis, Data Engineering, MLOps, or AI for
Business,” said Associate Professor Dr. Alexandru Tăbușcă, Dean of the
Faculty of Managerial Informatics.
The postgraduate AI training courses* offer students counseling and guidance
for each module from domain experts. Additionally, theoretical sessions will
include industry professionals who will share their practical experiences with
participants.

“The launch of these courses underscores our desire to share accumulated
expertise and actively contribute to shaping the next generation of leaders in
Artificial Intelligence. We offer an educational journey that blends theory with
practice, facilitating the transition from abstract concepts to concrete
implementations. This is vital for creating innovative solutions to meet the
complex needs of the technology industry,” stated Mr. Awday Korde, founder
of Optimizd.AI.
The courses are aimed at entrepreneurs, business professionals, IT
specialists, legal experts, and graduates of relevant faculties who wish to
specialize in this sector. The modules are designed to address the needs
created by technological progress in Artificial Intelligence.
The courses will start in July, with each module lasting one and a half months.
Each module comprises seven theoretical sessions complemented by seven
practical sessions. The five available modules are:
1. Artificial Intelligence for Business – Integrating AI into business
processes.
2. Data Analysis – Data processing and visualization techniques.
3. Data Privacy & Ethics – Data protection, ethics, retention, GDPR, and
more.
4. MLOps – Implementing and monitoring Machine Learning models.
5. Data Engineering – Efficient data management.
“Artificial Intelligence (AI) is redefining the boundaries of what is possible and
fundamentally transforming society across all sectors. Therefore, it is
imperative to prepare a new generation of professionals capable of navigating
and shaping this new reality. Our new postgraduate courses are designed not
only to provide in-depth technical knowledge but also to equip participants
with the necessary understanding to mediate the social and ethical impacts of
AI. By arming as many people as possible with these competencies, we aim
to contribute to a smooth transition to a society where technology and
humanity blend for a better future,” declared Lecturer Dr. Andrei Luchici,
Director of the Center for Research in AI (CRAI).
