SR250 million deal for Dammam’s third industrial city

DAMMAM: Abdullah Zainal Alireza, minister of commerce and industry and chairman of the board of directors of MODON, has signed a contract worth SR250 million to develop Dammam’s third Industrial City.

The 48 million square meter area of the industrial city is located south of Dammam on Abqaiq road, 25 km away from Dammam’s second Industrial City.

MODON Director General Tawfig Alrabiah said the contract was the first of a series of deals for the development of the industrial city.

The development project includes networks of roads and sidewalks, lighting and electricity, floods drainage and service lines.

The execution period of the project is 24 months, while during the development phase the investors can apply for land through MODON’s website.

Land will be allocated within eight months.

Dammam’s third Industrial City is characterized by a unique design in accordance with the highest international standards.

Supporting areas of large plots have been allocated for residential, commercial and logistical projects.

The city will include areas for industries including petroleum, metal, plastic, food, vehicles and building materials.

MODON oversees three industrial cities in the Eastern Province.

In addition, a development project has been tendered for the development of Hafr Al-Batin Industrial City.

The industrial sector in the Eastern Province is considered to be the most important strategic investment in the Kingdom with the industries providing investment and employment opportunities for Saudi nationals.
