Image sizes

Most images on the homepage refer to a sub-page with images in larger resolution. Conveniently, you only need to upload one image size and that must be in the largest resolution. The images on the homepage are then adapted proportionally. The new image size is 830x480px.

You can find exceptions and small image sizes in the list below.

NEW: Hero Image

  • This element appears at the top of the home page. Besides, the size also refers to the Hero images of the subpages (e.g. Events and News). The required size is 2560x1080px.

NEW: Top Topics Slider

  • The preferred minimum pixel size is 800x450px.

Dashboard

  • For this element, you again have the choice between the "small" and the "global" size.
  • Size: 590x340px
  • Global size: 830x480px

NEW: Top Event

  • The pixel size of the image is 800x450px

NEW: Preview Events

The size of the image should be 900x432px. The view will then be adjusted accordingly.

NEW: News Teaser

  • The image sizes for the news teaser images are 480x640px.

NEW: News list view

  • The images in the list view should be 320x240px.

Modern websites commit the operators to give image credits (copyright). The credits are named on the left to the side, at the edge, of the respective image.

It’s important that you state both the photo database and the name of the photographer, as standard like this: "Fotolia/Name of the photographer".

Upload picture and enter copyright information

The uploading and editing of image and media material is carried out exclusively via the Media Asset Management Tool Admiral Cloud. You also enter copyright information in the "Meta information" field in the Admiral Cloud. You will find detailed information on this here.
