Localisation/Translations

To ensure that your news/events also appear in other languages on your website, you must translate your respective folder. The following tutorial shows you how to do this using an event as an example. The same procedure can also be found for news.

News/Events

Create data record

  • In the list view, you can translate your "Events" folder, for example, by clicking on Create record in the upper area.

Alternative page language

  • Here, under System Data Sets, select the "Alternative Page Language".

  • Select the language
  • Please make sure that the page title is different from the original one.

Localisation

  • After you have created the folder, you can use the "Localise" function.
  • After pressing the button, your event will be translated/localised.
  • You must then edit the translated event accordingly.

  • Here you can see the localised event

Translate pages

Of course, you also have the option of translating entire pages. You can see the individual steps in the following. This also applies to your homepage!

Translate page

  • Set the view to Language
  • Then create your new translated page by clicking on the desired language. 

Page title

  • Enter the page title here 
  • Save and close the application

Translate

  • Now you have the possibility to translate your page by clicking the button "Translate".

Translate II

  • Now you can locate your page/record.
  • Please click on the button "Copy 
  • Now you have to click on the "Next" button. 
  • With this procedure you have the advantage that you can move your elements as you wish.
  • With "Translate", the elements can no longer be moved as you wish, as this is a 1:1 translation.

  • Here you can see the translated page
  • The elements are all still hidden
  • But the transferred content still needs to be translated
